Arch City Opera Project presents Mozart and Salieri by Rimsky-Korsakov

Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov’s one-act opera Mozart and Salieri tells the historically fictitious story of Antonio Salieri poisoning Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart out of jealousy. The text is based on Alexander Pushkin’s play, which inspired Peter Schaffer’s Amadeus. Two of Arch City Opera Project’s founders (Jacob Lassetter and Marc Schapman) bring this riveting tale to the stage.

Arch City Opera Project was founded with a singular objective: to bridge the critical gap between academic training and professional operatic careers. Students from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Webster University, and Tessitura Music have exclusive access to this training program, allowing them to continue honing their craft while gaining valuable professional experience.
